Viviana Vizcaino

Viviana Vizcaino joined Bloomberg Associates in May 2023 as a member of the Economic Development team. She specializes in policy development at the intersection of land use and economic development. In this role, she advises municipal economic development teams on a variety of economic policies to achieve their unique goals, ranging from talent retention and attraction to innovative redevelopment and adaptation projects.

 

Prior to joining Bloomberg Associates, Viviana worked in real estate development and community investment at Urbane Development and the Hudson Companies. She oversaw the development and construction of over 2M square feet of mixed-income, mixed-use spaces across New York City’s five boroughs and the City of Philadelphia. Projects ranged from institutional housing developments employing innovative sustainability practices, to adaptive reuse of industrial property utilizing braided funding mechanisms.

 

Viviana has also worked for the New York City Economic Development Corporation. During her time there, Viviana supported the City of New York in the design and evaluation of programs to support the agency's goals across cybersecurity, life sciences, and modern manufacturing. Her work spanned from assessing the efficiency of development incentives with respect to the employment outcomes of the recipient businesses, to designing stackable credential programs for the future cybersecurity workforce.

 

Viviana holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Public Policy from Baruch College  CUNY.
