Skylar Parris joined Bloomberg Associates’ Municipal Integrity team in August 2026, where she supports client cities in streamlining their internal operations across departments, making service delivery efficient e.g., payment and inspection processes, through research, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to this role, Skylar served as an intern for Bloomberg Associates, supporting eight large-scale projects and working across multiple teams. She then took a position as a fellow with the Municipal Integrity team, where she helped connect underserved communities with funding opportunities from government, philanthropic, and corporate donors by researching, vetting, and compiling an extensive list of possible grant sources and opportunities. Before joining Bloomberg Associates, Skylar worked at the American Cancer Society, where she helped advance the organization’s marketing strategy, with a particular focus on its approach to corporate partnerships.

Skylar graduated from The George Washington University cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs and International Business. On campus, Skylar led as a Posse Scholar, the Vice President of the Mu Delta chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and on the executive board of Black Professionals in International Affairs.
