Ivy Li joined Bloomberg Associates at its inception in January 2014. Ivy Li specializes in digital communications and strategies. At Bloomberg Associates, Ivy works with clients to develop strategic roadmaps focused on positioning a city for digital success. Ivy also assists clients in implementing initiatives that support the local tech industry, create an open government and streamline online government communications through engagement, training workshops and private-public partnerships.
Previously, Ivy held a variety of digital roles in both the private and public sectors. Ivy served as the Digital Communications Director at NYC Digital, part of the Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment under the Bloomberg Administration. Ivy supervised digital communications across the City, managed the development of and content for the relaunch of NYC.gov, hosted the first Digital Cities Symposium, bringing together Chief Digital Officers from around the world, and developed Engage NYC, a yearly conference focused on professional social marketing training for city agencies and nonprofits. In the private sector, Ivy worked at Scholastic Inc., where she managed digital content and corporate web initiatives, and at The New York Times Company, where she began her career.
Ivy was named a “40 Under 40 Rising Star” by City & State in 2013. She is a graduate of Boston University’s College of Communication, where she received her B.S. in public relations.
