Izzie Deixel

Izzie Deixel joined Bloomberg Associates in November 2021. In her current role on the Real Estate Development team, Izzie advises city leaders on transformative projects, guiding public-private partnerships, adaptive reuse, and strategic site planning to advance economic, social, and environmental goals. Leveraging expertise in development strategy, project implementation, public realm, and governance, Izzie helps cities unlock the potential of publicly and privately owned properties to create lasting urban impact.

Prior to joining Bloomberg Associates, Izzie worked at the intersection of public policy, operations, and urban planning in New York City. She served as the Director of Operations at Bryant Park Corporation and 34th Street Partnership, where she worked for seven years alongside NYC government agencies to operate and maintain the city’s busiest parks, public plazas, and business districts. While there, Izzie engaged public and private stakeholders to bring dynamic programming to life and support local economic development initiatives. She developed new revenue streams through concessions and retail programs, and streamlined internal operations using new tools and communication systems. Izzie also worked at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Operations, where she supported the city’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution effort by designing outreach programs, standardizing staffing protocols, and facilitating inter-agency coordination.

A native of Brooklyn, NY, Izzie holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs and a B.A. in Urban Studies and French from Vassar College.
