Jane Bartman

Jane Bartman joined the Bloomberg Associates Sustainability team in 2022, leading projects furthering cities’ environmental, social, and economic sustainability, with a focus on built environment decarbonization.

Jane brings a deep background in data analysis and client engagement to her role. As a Senior Manager at the Concord Group, a real estate consultancy, she led analyst teams that produced feasibility and highest-and-best-use recommendations for developers and investors, working in more than 50 U.S. geographies. These engagements spanned various product types, with a focus on multifamily market rate and affordable housing.

Jane has worked for and with cities in several capacities, including interning on the Policy and Development teams at New York City’s Housing Development Corporation, on the Social Resiliency team at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, and as a policy Research Assistant at New York University’s Furman Center. She was previously a Manager on Bloomberg Associates’ Municipal Integrity team, advancing projects including 2020 city Census campaigns and COVID-19 response planning.

Jane earned her Master of Urban Planning from NYU's Wagner School of Public Service as a Henry Hart Rice Fellow. Her graduate Capstone team’s creation of a Transit Oriented Development Readiness Index for Suffolk County, NY, received the school’s highest honor.

Jane received a B.A. with honors in Geography and International Studies from the University of Chicago.
