As one of the world’s leading cities, London has long been expected to set a standard for others to follow. This was particularly true following the 2012 Olympic Games — lauded as one of the most successful in recent history — which sparked new developments and investment across the whole of the city. London itself sought to set and keep pace with best practices in municipal governance, particularly in forging new and exciting partnerships with the private sector and honing a focus on tech and digital.
